The Mexican team played at San Mamés for the first time in the opening leg of the Tree of Gernika Trophy
Chivas de Guadalajara's visit to San Mamés will be one to remember. Numerous Mexican fans came to The Cathedral to see the team they love take part in very special match between two teams that share the same colours and values. Los Leones won 2-0 thanks to goals from Alex Berenguer and Oihan Sancet.
Next July, Athletic Club will travel to Mexico for the second leg of the Tree of Gernika Trophy.
