Muniain becomes Athletic Club's fourth highest appearance holder

With his involvement against Sestao River on Sunday night, Iker Muniain has surpassed Andoni Iraola in Athletic Club's all-time appearances rankings.

The Copa clash against the Biscay-based side is the 511th time Iker has pulled on the Athletic jersey, the 51st occasion in that tournament. In total, he has played 395 games in LaLiga, four in the Spanish Super Cup and 61 in Europe (54 in the Europa League and seven in the Champions League).

The skipper is very close to the historical podium, being three appearances behind Joseba Etxeberria, who occupies the third place with 514 games. The no.10 could reach that milestone this season.
