Unai Nuñez's RC Celta loan deal extended
An option to extend the loan for a second season has been triggered and will cover his wages in full
Unai Nuñez will spend next season at RC Celta after a clause to extend his loan deal for a second year was triggered. As in the 2022/23 campaign, Celta will cover the entirety of the centre-back's wages.
Renewing the loan agreement has also activated an optional purchase clause in which Celta can sign Nuñez permanently ahead the 2024/25 season for a minimum of €7 million plus variables.
In addition, Athletic Club will retain a percentage of any future transfer if Celta should subsequently decide to sell the Lezama graduate.
