The film tells the success story of Gianluca Vialli and Roberto Mancini's Sampdoria in the 1990/91 season. This year's festival opener will be attended by director Marco Ponti, producer Leonardo Godano, as well as former players Ivano Bonetti and Marco Lanna - the latter is the current president of the Italian club. Admission is free, but tickets must be booked in advance here.

Special screening for 'Tigrar', the winner of the Thinking Football 2022 Audience Award

Prior to the official inauguration of Thinking 2023, a special screening of the film 'Tigrar' aimed at schools and Lezama's technical staff will take place on Monday morning.

Former footballer Martin Bengtsson and the film's director, Ronnie Sandahl, will also attend this session. Both will also be present in the evening at Sala BBK, where they will collect the 2022 Thinking Football Audience Award for 'Tigrar'.

As with previous editions of the festival, after each screening can rate the film shown, and at the end of the festival, the highest scoring film will be awarded the Thinking Football Audience Award. Click here to see past winners of the prize.
