Unai Nuñez returns to Athletic Club on loan
The centre-back, who arrives from RC Celta where he's played 76 games in two seasons, will join Athletic until June 30
Athletic Club have signed RC Celta defender Unai Nuñez on loan until June 30. The temporary deal includes an optional purchase clause for the Zurigorri.
Nuñez, who has played 76 times for Celta since leaving Athletic two seasons ago, returns to add depth and experience to Athletic's centre-back options.
The 27-year-old spent five seasons with the Lions' senior team during his first spell at San Mames, making 116 appearances (104 starts) and scoring three goals.
The Lezama graduate won the 2021 Spanish Super Cup with Athletic, playing against both Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.
Unai will join up with the rest of his teammates at Lezama on Thursday.
