Adama, Martón and Djaló make Athletic debuts
The trio got their first taste of LaLiga action in our Matchday 3 fixture against Valencia CF on Wednesday
Wednesday evening's 1-0 victory over Valencia CF at San Mames came with the added bonus of Athletic Club debuts for Adama Boiro, Javier Martón and Álvaro Djaló.
The trio became the respective 642nd, 643rd and 644th Lions to pull on the famous red and white stripes.
Adama joined Athletic's Under-18s from CA Osasuna last winter. He impressed in pre-season and got an opportunity to make his senior debut against Los Che.
Martón joined the Zurigorri from Real Sociedad two years ago. After playing a couple of pre-season friendlies, the forward went out on loan to LaLiga Hypermotion outfit CD Mirandés for 2023/24.
Djaló was signed from Sporting Braga, but spent his youth career at local sides UD San Miguel and SD Begoña. The new no.11 missed the first two matches due to injury but is now fully recovered.
