Javier Aguirre has selected the Athletic Club goalkeeper for Mexico's friendlies against New Zealand and Canada
Mexico head coach Javier Aguirre has called up Alex Padilla for El Tricolor's upcoming friendlies against New Zealand and Canada. It is the first time the young Athletic goalkeeper has been invited to join Mexico's senior squad.
Alex will report for international duty on Sunday September 1. The Mexicans face New Zealand in Los Angeles on September 7 and take on Canada in Dallas on September 10.
