The talented forward has added two further years to his current contract with Athletic Club
Athletic Club forward Nico Serrano has signed a two-year contract extension, taking his current deal up until 30 June 2028.
The 21-year-old has already made 25 appearances as a Lion (eight of them this season), scoring twice. Nico's first senior strike was a stunning winner against Rayo Vallecano at Vallecas in the 2021/22 season. In the current campaign, he completed the comeback as Athletic came from a goal down to beat Ludogorets 1-2 in the Europa League.
"Despite only being 21, Nico is an experienced professional with 65 appearances between Athletic matches and his loan spells," director of football Mikel Gonzalez said about the player.
"His technical ability means he can play in a variety of attacking positions. He crosses well and has an eye for goal.
"He made a positive step forward during his loan spell at Racing de Ferrol and has played a lot of important minutes this season. We have high hopes for him."
The 21-year-old has made great strides this season and put pen to paper on a new agreement on Monday morning alongside club president Jon Uriarte and director of football Mikel Gonzalez.
In line with the policy established by the Board of Directors, this deal features a basic salary structure and performance-based bonuses.
