Athletic sign Egiluz until 2028

Athletic Club and Unai Egiluz have reached an agreement to renew his contract until 30 June 2028. The centre-back, whose contract was due to expire, is now a first-team player and will spend the pre-season under the orders of Ernesto Valverde, with whom he has already completed the summer training camp on the tour of Mexico.

The defender, who made his debut as a Lion against UE Rubí two seasons ago in the first knockout round of the Cup, which Athletic went on to win, has played 33 official games for CD Mirandés this season, with a very positive performance as the campaign has progressed.

The player from Durango has successfully completed his first loan spell in LaLiga HyperMotion, after having already passed the Bilbao Athletic phase, in which he had played a total of 50 games in the last two seasons.
