Egiluz signs contract extension until 2028

Unai Egiluz has signed a senior contract at Athletic Club until 30 June 2028.

The centre-back, whose contract was due to expire, is now a first-team player and will spend the pre-season with Ernesto Valverde and the first team.

The defender also spent last two pre-seasons with the senior side, taking part in the 2023 tour of Mexico for example.

The defender, who made his debut as a Lion against UE Rubí two seasons ago in the first round of the Copa, which Athletic went on to win, played 33 official games for CD Mirandés this season.

It was the player's first loan spell in LaLiga HyperMotion, after having already gained much experience with Bilbao Athletic, making over 50 appearances during his time with our main reserve team.
