The Athletic Club centre-back has joined up with the Spanish national team's training camp, replacing the injured Huijsen.
Aymeric Laporte has joined Unai Simón and Dani Vivian in the Spanish national team's training camp following Dean Huijsen's withdrawal.
The Athletic Club defender is in line to play against Georgia in Elche on Saturday October 11 and against Bulgaria in Valladolid on Tuesday October 14.
