The German manager is starting his work with 30 players, whilst awaiting the arrival of the four World Cup players
Edin Terzić’s Athletic Club begins its pre-season training this Monday at Lezama with the usual medical examinations and fitness tests, which will take place in groups over two days, ahead of the whole squad’s first session on the pitch, scheduled for Wednesday.
The German manager begins his work with 30 players, pending the return of the four World Cup players. Iñaki Williams, who has already been knocked out with Ghana, will be at Lezama tomorrow and will then begin his holiday. We will have to wait and see how long his brother Nico, Unai Simón and Aymeric Laporte remain in the tournament to know when they will rejoin the squad. For various reasons, and with permission to do so, both Unai Gómez and Unai Vencedor will be absent from training.
The list of players starting training is as follows:
Goalkeepers: Julen Agirrezabala, Alex Padilla and Mikel Santos.
Defenders: Jesús Areso, Andoni Gorosabel, Hugo Rincón, Yeray Álvarez, Dani Vivian, Aitor Paredes, Iker Monreal, Yuri Berchiche, Adama Boiro and Johaneko Jean Louis.
Midfielders: Mikel Vesga, Iñigo Ruiz de Galarreta, Alejandro Rego, Beñat Prados, Mikel Jauregizar, Beñat Gerenabarrena, Oihan Sancet, Peio Canales and Selton Sánchez.
Forwards: Álex Berenguer, Robert Navarro, Nico Serrano, Álvaro Djaló, Elijah Gift, Gorka Guruzeta, Maroan Sannadi and Urko Izeta.
