Beñat Gerenabarrena and Hugo Rincón are the 658th and 659th players to make their debut for Athletic Club. The midfielder and the defender, both aged 23, featured in the team’s league opener of the 2026/27 season, on matchday 2 against Sevilla FC.
The cmidfielder, who has been since he was a junior, was named in the starting XI selected by Edin Terzić for his debut at The Cathedral. Meanwhile, Hugo Rincón, the full-back who has been at Athletic Club since he was a sub-15, came on in the 74th minute to replace Aitor Paredes.
