“There are positive aspects we can build on”

Edin Terzić praises his team’s effort despite the defeat against Barcelona and is confident that the Lions will soon “pick up the points they deserve”

“We’ve had some good moments, and we can build on that. There were spells where we played well, particularly in the first half. We just needed to be more clinical in attack. It’s not easy playing here, and I think we showed courage at many points, although fatigue makes things more difficult and you start to see the quality they possess. I want to praise and acknowledge my team because we were in with a chance right until the end.”

Edin Terzić congratulated Barcelona on their victory over Athletic Club at the end of a tough and difficult match for the Lions, who will now have to step up on Sunday against Celta in search of their first win of the season:

“As a manager, I’m well aware that results are what count and I’m the one responsible. I’ve seen good performances in two difficult matches. We’ll bounce back and we have another chance to pick up three points. I’m sure, having seen how we play and how we train, that the team will soon pick up the points it deserves.”

The German manager’s top priority is to improve and continue fine-tuning the team in the hunt for points and results:

“It’s very early on; it’s the first week and we’ve had matches in quick succession. The team is united and it will take time, but we have to improve our results. We need to, and we’ll improve through the right attitude and hard work. Step by step.”
