Athletic Club Women lost 3-0 against Deportivo Abanca in the final fixture of a long 2020-21 campaign.

The Lionesses were undone by two penalties in each half as well as Ainoa’s opening strike for the home team.

The opening half was tight and and full of errors. Chances were few and far between. Athletic’s María Díaz and Depor’s Peke both missed with long-range efforts.

However, Manu Sánchez’s side had several set-pieces and Ainoa headed past Andere Leguina -who was making her last appearance as a Lioness- from a corner on the half-hour mark.
