News about Athletic Club-FC Barcelona

Athletic Club continues to make all the necessary arrangements with Audiovisual Sport so that they may accede to holding the Athletic Club and FC Barcelona match, corresponding to the 38th Liga matchday, on Friday, 19 May, at 21:00 hours; and therefore not harming the interests of the Basque and Wales National teams, that are scheduled to play a friendly on Sunday, 21 May, at 20:15 hours in San Mamés.

In that respect, during the press conference held this morning at Ibaigane Palace, President Fernando Lamikiz has made an appeal to Audiovisual Sport to authorize rescheduling the match, as it is an unimportant match for the classification and, in so doing, not harm the interests of third parties.

As has been done to date, Athletic Club will keep all its members and fans informed on the final decision made regarding the timetable for the match.
