Athletic Club show off their innovative long socks

Athletic Club wore an innovative model of sock for the first team during the match played against Espanyol, a new design in socks which the team have been trying out at Lezama for several weeks. The fundamental feature of this item is that it increases the buffer zone which in turn lessens the blows.

Designed by Indepun S.A, the official supplier of several international brand names and the leading entity that Athletic Club is was chosen by them to test this product, which is a first in the football world.

The sock reaches places where the conventional shin guard cannot reach and is made of a three-layered cushioned material which covers the back of the leg, the Achilles tendon, the malleolus and the entire ankle, converting the sock into a shield protecting the players from; kicks, blows, tackles where boot studs are involved and being trodden on.
