The veterans, in Galdakao (0-3)

This weekend, concretely on Saturday the 12th at 17:30, the Association of Former Athletic Club Players team has played against the Galdakao Team veterans at Santa Barbara Ground. The reason for this match was to pay tribute to the deceased Miguel González Guerediaga, ‘Miguelón’, and the members of CD Galdakao, Spanish amateur champions in 1957, when they defeated Salamanca by 4-1 in San Mamés, on its 50th Anniversary.

In attendance representing Athletic were Imanol Etxeberria, Rafa Alkorta, Andoni Aiarza, Kike Ayucar, Edu Estibariz, Joseba Agirre, Julen Guerrero, Aitor Larrazabal, Estanis Argote, Vidal, Iñaki Garai, Carlos Rodriguez, Javi Luke, Iñigo Lizarralde, Ismael Urtubi, Sada, Placido Bilbao, Rafa Dehesa, and Dani Ruiz; serving as trainers were Miguel Gutiérrez and Juanjo Campa.

Refereeing the match was Xabier Losantos Omar.

Playing for Athletic were: Etxebarria, Lizarralde, Alkorta, Aiarza, Larrazabal, Carlos, Luis Fernando, Ayucar, Joseba Agirre, Urtubi, Luke and Argote. Vidal, Garay and Sada also played.

The goals have been the work of Luke, Garay and Alkorta.
