AEJ pay homage to Javier Escalza

A touching tribute to Javier Escalza was held during the inauguration of the Arrankudiaga Ground, which will carry his name. During the pre-match activities a plate was uncovered in the presence of his widow and children. There were quite a lot of people despite the bad weather with many known faces, like Javier Irureta, Manu Delgado, Jose Angel Iribar, Daniel Ruiz Bazan, Koldo Agirre, Juan Mari Zorriketa and Miguel Gutiérrez, in addition to several of the organization’s Board members. Javier Escalza’s son, Jon, played one period with each team. Iñaki Garai presented Javier Escalza’s widow with a keepsake in Athletic Club’s name.
