Opinions about our rival in the UEL’s round on 16 final are as follows.

Fernando García Macua: “They’re a difficult rival who are leaders with certain authority of their league, who were runners-up in their league last season and have played well in the Group Stage. I think that we have possibilities and we’re going to exploit them to the maximum. This will be almost at the end of February and there’s no need to lose sight of the near future which includes an attempt to beat Osasuna in the last match of the year at San Mamés, that’s to say, to get those 26 points and bring January to a close with a good first half of the league competition”.

Joaquín Caparrós: “To tell the truth, the thing that most worries me now is the match against Osasuna because the European competition is still far away. I think it will be an open eliminatory, against a team that has European prestige and are leaders of the Belgium League, an encounter that we will face up to with the greatest hope and desire to win. If we do so Hamburgo or PSV are the same to me”.

Fran Yeste: “Any rival would be very difficult because at this stage of the competition only classy teams make it. The trip is not uncomfortable at all and I’m sure that we’ll have many fans supporting us not only at San Mamés, but during the 2nd leg match as well. I hope we can better the draw reached during the pre-season and win the eliminatory”.

Carlos Gurpegi: “There one of Europe’s historical teams. We know that it’s going to be tough, but we can’t complain about the draw. Concerning the future, I prefer to think about how to beat Osasuna than if we will play against Hamburgo or PSV”.
