Presentation of Athletic Club’s Beach Football Tournament

The presentation of the Athletic Club’s VI Beach Football championship will take place on Monday, 28 March, at 11:00 hours, in the press conference room at Ibaigane Palace.

Representatives of Athletic Club and of the Town Halls taking part in the championship will be attending said presentation.

Registration for this championship is free for teams from any clubs, ikastolas (Basque schools), colleges, public schools and citizen, cultural associations. Since the first edition more than 7,000 boys and girls from Biscay have taken part.

The principal changes to this edition, which will get underway on 10 April, are that the matches will be played on dry sand, and not wet sand like in the previous editions, and on this occasion there will be four control centres, at Ereaga, La Arena, Plentzia and Arrigorri beaches. The latter, in Ondarroa, will coincide with the celebration of Ibilaldia 2011.
