Contemporary Photographers in the Museum

We are in another final, and we have a chance to lift Copa like Oceja, Gainza, Echeberria, or Dani did in their time. They are the moments captured in an instant that we all easily recognize thanks to the photographer who made it come to life. Many of our past experiences with Athletic are thanks to the photographers.

Athletic Club is making every effort to share the value that photographers have in the sport of football. The Athletic Club Museum will inaugurate a new line of expositions where they will showcase the work of these photographers. There will be expositions of contemporary photographers that enrich our Club with their photos and news.

Each exposition will contain about a dozen photographs. The photos will be chosen from each photographer´s archives that clearly reflect in images the last years of the Club´s history.

It will be a different format to view such photos that on one or more occasions have been displayed in newspapers, but they were not given the attention that they deserved.

Given the size and location of the Museum Hall, the public will rediscover the artistic eye of these photographers and appreciate their value in a true dimension.

All of the images can be gazed at freely in the Museum Hall.

We will give away a photo prize (lottery) amongst all attending the Museum exposition and the guided tour of San Mamés. The rest of the photos will be available for sale.
