Yesterday we had the day off and in the morning we went to visit the Serso-Honduras water project. We took a good long walk until we reached the dam that provides the water for all of the Jutiapa area. In the afternoon, we went to visit the city of La Ceiba. We saw our first shopping mall in these last 7 days, very similar to those we are used to.

Today we are back with a double session. In the morning, we have been in the ‘Garífuna’ village of Nueva Armenia. The experience has been quite different than what we have lived these last few days; children with much less discipline, but it is yet another experience we take with us. We will be with them again tomorrow. After the training session, we were given the possibility of visiting different houses made of different materials; a carried out by the Serso-Honduras (housing project). Approximately 600 houses have been built in the last few years.

In the evening, we have divided into 2 groups since we have been in different schools, Bomba and Papaloteca. In the first school, we have had more girls than boys whereas in the second not one girl has participated, something that had not happened in any of the previous training sessions.

Tomorrow is our last double-session day.
