The VI CONGRESS of ATHLETIC CLUB SUPPORTERS’ CLUBS SOUTHERN GROUPING was held on 12 October in Jaen, concretely in Sabiote. This year it was organized by the Athletic Club ‘El Castillo’ Supporters’ Club of Sabiote that is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its founding.
The day began with breakfast at the Fan Club’s headquarters and was followed by a cultural guided tour of the City’s old quarter, with the attendance of a large group of Athletic fans members of the Fan Clubs that make up the Southern Grouping, some 80 people.
Afterwards, the annual General Assembly meeting was held with the attendance of the following Fan Clubs:
– Athletic Club “El Castillo” Fan Club, Sabiote.
– Athletic Club Andoni Goikoetxea Fan Club, El Ejido (Almería).
– Athletic Club Los Leones Fan Club, Viator (Almería).
– Athletic Club Fan Club, Bailen (Jaén).
– Athletic Club Iribar Fan Club Villacarrillo (Jaén).
– Athletic Club Parla Fan Club, Torreperojil (Jaén).
– Athletic Club Los Leones Fan Club, Ubeda (Jaén).
– Athletic Club Fan Club, Málaga.
– Athletic Club Bilbao Fan Club, Vélez-Málaga (Málaga).
– Athletic Club 100% Rojiblanca Fan Club, Almuñecar
An issue on the Agenda was the approval to add two new members, Jose Sebástian Sarria Alcoholado and Felipe Olivares Martinez, to the Board of Directors, which is made up of the following members:
– Juan Martín Escalona -President- (Vélez-Málaga Fan Club)
– Francisco Mañas Pastor -1st Vice-president – (Bailen Fan Club)
– Pedro de Castro Torres – 2nd Vice-president – (Bailen Fan Club)
– José Sebastián Sarria Alcoholado -Secretary- (Málaga Fan Club)
– Ramón Rodríguez Merino -Treasurer- (Bailen Fan Club)
– Felipe Olivares Martínez -Spokesperson – (Bailen Fan Club)
A luncheon, enlivened with rojiblancos chants and songs, was held immediately afterwards.
At the end came the exchange of gifts amongst the Supporters’ Clubs in attendance.
A joyful day and that was fantastically organized by the Sabiote Fan Club on their 25th Anniversary.
