Second consecutive win

Bilbao Athletic 2-1 Real Oviedo

Bilbao Athletic has defeated 2-1 Real Oviedo at San Mamés. Oscar Gil and Seguín scored our goals, enough to overcome the first goal of the match by Toché.

It was a difficult challenge for Bilbao Athletic, but finally and for the first time during the season, the team showed that they never give up and two consecutive victories have been achieved although the visiting team was the favorite side with an appreciable support from the stands.

Bilbao Athletic made a very good game, even more if we take into account that the scoreboard was against as Yeray’s skimming header for Ramiro was too short and Toché could finished it well.

Our team didn’t let it go and step by step, the drawing was on the scoreboard before the half-time interval. A header by Gil, in a free-kick play was sent to the net. Nevertheless, the reserve team missed some chances to lead the match before the break.

During the second half, despite of bossing the match and having some attempts, there were no goals until the last quarter of an hour. Seguín scored the second goal for Bilbao Athletic and they were able to keep the lead until the final whistle to get a very well earned three points.

For the first time at this campaign, it is the second consecutive victory for Bilbao Athletic. The next match is also challenging, on Saturday against Llagostera.
