An outstanding season for the Genuine

The Genuine team of the Athletic Club Foundation has bid farewell to the season with the finishing touch of the Fair Play award for the second consecutive year. Beyond the title, what underlies is the triumph of a genuine way of conceiving sport, where the important thing is, indeed, to participate. And it is important because it is the way in which the objective set by the Athletic Club Foundation is achieved in its social projects and which it shares with this integrating league: the normalisation of sporting activity between people with intellectual disabilities.

As Diego Feijoo and Eli Ibarra, together with Esteban Feijoo, the coaches of this team, state, “Genuine has been champion for its sportsmanship, respect and fair play”. In short, champion in values, a merit that the Club extends to all the technicians of the Foundation who work with the group and also to the families and followers who accompany the Genuine team in their displacements and in their day to day.
