Capa: “Everything goes smoothly”

Double preparatory Wednesday session for the first team of Athletic Club, in a special week without league competition and with friendly match (tomorrow, Thursday, against Toulouse in Baiona). After the morning training, in the gym of Lezama, Ander Capa has appeared in front of the media. The player from Portugalete, with three assists in three games, has recognised his good start: “For the moment, everything goes smoothly. I’ve had three assists, but now I have to continue like this to keep helping the team. I work the same as last year, but I’m having that certainty to get the right pass to give the final. A few weeks ago I was asked about my ups and downs during the year and it’s true that at the beginning of the seasons I didn’t used to stand out and I thought about starting strong.”

On a collective level, the zurigorri winger underlined the great level shown in the first three rounds of the league: “We started running collectively. The preseason has been very different, we have had less burden than last year and we notice that we are stronger. There will be people who think that this break comes at a bad time for how we are, but I think it will be good for us to recharge our batteries and go to Mallorca for the three points.”

Regarding the performance of the team far from San Mamés, Capa has been confident in ratifying the sensations shown in the first displacement of this campaign: “At home we are very comfortable with the fans and now we have to take that jump out, which we began to give in Getafe, to always go for the victory outside San Mamés. The line we set there is the one we have to follow in the next matches.”
