Garitano: “This is a positive point”

Gaizka Garitano has considered the point obtained by Athletic against CD Leganés at Butarque as “positive”. The red-and-white manager has said about the match: “During the first time, and except for Larrazabal, despite having more possession, we found it hard to get depth. After the Interval, they started better and it was then when our goal arrived. They equalised immediately, and from then on, we were at our best. In the last twenty minutes, we controlled the game and we defended well by having ball possession. But we have to admit we had difficulties in shooting at goal.”

The red-and-white coach has acknowledged how tight both teams were: “A tie is a fair result after what we’ve seen during the match. As for us, this can be considered positive after a home win, we have added another point in a quite difficult stadium. What concerns me now is we have to recover quickly, as we are playing again in three days’ time.”
