Bilbao Athletic determined to keep up the good run

Derby against Arenas Club in Getxo (Saturday, 18:00h) for the team lead by Joseba Etxeberria.

Bilbao Athletic will try to keep up the good start in Group II of the Second Division B. The subsidiary team has a class next Saturday (Fadura, 18:00h), against Arenas Club. This will become the first derby of the season, between two teams from Bizkaia. Arenas Club is currently ranked last.

The players collected three different results in the first three match days of the season; a win in Haro, a draw against CD Calahorra in Lezama, and a lost in León. But since then, Bilbao Athletic only knows about triumphs, with three thrashings in a row: 4-0 against Salamanca CF, 0-3 in Tudela y 5-0 agains CA Osasuna Promesas. These results made Bilbao Athletic become the most prolific scorer of the past half century. The team led by Joseba Etxeberria, with 13 points over the 18 possible points played, is ranked second. Only the first four teams will be able take part in the play off and have the chance to access LaLiga SmartBank.

On the other hand, Arenas Club does not know yet what winning an official match means this season. The move from Gobela to Fadura has not guaranteed a good start of the season; three defeats and some draws place them at the bottom of the category.
