The cadets succeeded in Mallorca

Athletic Club ladies cadets won the East Mallorca Cup that was held at Balearic Islands. The youths, led by Roberto Pampín made it to the final, after beating B93 Copenhagen by 3-0 and FC Nordsjaelland by 5-0.

The red-and-white players did not score a goal during the championship and beat Bayern de Munich by 3-0 in a match described as follows by Pampín: “We could feel it was a final, we were nervous at the beginning and there was accumulated fatigue. The first half was well played and there were occasions for both of the teams. After the break, I do not know where the players took strength from but Bayern started to feel weak, and the first goal gave us trust. Although winning by 3-0, they wanted more”

It has been an unforgettable experience for the red-and-white team that travelled to Mallorca. Amaia Olabrarrieta´s Youth team that played at U-14 and lost on the verge of the final against Madrid CFF 1-0, also complemented the experience.
