“Three points to change the bad run”
Óscar de Marcos highlights the importance of beating Espanyol next Wednesday in San Mamés so as to end up with the lately bad results.
Óscar de Marcos visited the pressroom of Lezama before the first training and the beginning of a special week with matches on Wednesday (against Espanyol in San Mamés) and Sunday in Villarreal. The red-and-white has acknowledged “the bump” of results in the last five matches, but has a clear vision on how to get out of it: “The negative run is evident, but the best way to change it is with three points. We play at home and we have to chase after them. I don’t take it as a final, but I do take it as an essential game.”
De Marcos mentioned the support of the stands as one of the keys to overcome RCD Espanyol from 20:00 hours in the Cathedral: “I know supporters will be there and it is true that when you are in runs like this, it is when we need them most. For us the push of San Mamés is very noticeable and we are very grateful for it“.
