L. García: “We have to keep improving”

The red-and-white striker made her debut scoring two goals that helped the team to beat RCD Espanyol. She believes the team has to keep up with the demanding work.

Lucía García came back excited to the field. The striker of Athletic Club did have to wait three weeks until her tendinopathy on her right knee healed. She could not take part in the victories against Real Sociedad and Real Betis. Last day at Primera Iberdrola, the quick red-and-white player went back to number eleven against RCD Espanyol. The team won the match at ciudad deportiva Dani Jarque, the third consecutive win, thanks to the two goals scored by her, the first two in the season for her.

The lions will try to finish the month with no defeats and will do their best against UDG Granadilla Tenerife, on Sunday 3rd (13:00, CET). In order to achieve another win, Lucía believes that they have to keep using the same approach and not to lower the intensity: “We can feel the good run and we are happy: even though we have some leaves. There have been three good matches and we have to keep improving. We will go to Tenerife and try to get the fourth consecutive victory in a very difficult match though”.
