Oihane Hernández is one of the three players of the first ladies team that also has its name in the subsidiary team, same situation as Valdezate and Azkona. The three of them have played at least one match within the team led by Iraia Iturregi. It is indeed the manager of the team one of the references at the defence. The player from Sopela played last year at the elite and this season has played more than 600 minutes with Ángel Villacampa being the head in 7 out of the 9 playes in which she took part.
“When the season began I did not expect to start playing this much, nor playing so many minutes. I try to give my best shot during the training sessions and Villa is giving me chances. I am trying to make the most of these occasions to keep playing”, admits Oihane, who confesses that playing next January 5th in San Mamés “will be a dream come true”.
The international of the U-20 will keep working hard and showing its best at the wing. It is a player with a good record that provides quality play as she showed assisting Azkona during the match in Vallecas. Oihane shows not only that Athletic ́s quarry is working well but that the subsidiary team is also serves as a springboard to the first team.
