Athletic Club’s official statement

LaLiga just made official that the next two rounds will be played behind closed doors, which will affect Athletic-Atlético de Madrid match that will be held next Sunday, March 15

LaLiga has officially informed Athletic Club that the next two league clashes, which affect two matches, Athletic-Atlético de Madrid and Eibar-Athletic, will be played behind closed doors, without supporters.

In view of the current situation, Athletic Club’s Board of Directors has decided the following:

  1. To offer members the possibility of an immediate refund of the money they have paid for the two matches named as the Club’s Half-Day against Atlético de Madrid and Real Madrid, or if applicable, the money acquired individually for the match against Atlético de Madrid. The Club will soon communicate the procedure to make it effective.
  2. If they wish, the members will have the chance to keep their season tickets through the Half-Days of the Club, until the designation of another match in order to help the Club in the year 2020.
  3. Athletic Club will keep, unless new circumstances prevent it, the other Half-Day of Club against Real Madrid. The Club will also inform, once the calendar for the following season is known, and designate another match to be held during the last four months of 2020.

In the event that another Half-Day of the Club is not chosen between August and December 2020, Athletic Club will offer the option to return the money to the members, or if the member wishes, it will be discounted from the payment of the annual fee for 2021.
