The ever-presents in Ángel Villacampa’s side in the first part of the season

Oihane Valdezate keeps taking steps forward in the Primera Iberdrola. The central midfielder, who made her debut under Joseba Aguirre in April 2019, has played more minutes than any other player so far in 2020-21.

The lioness already has 1051 minutes under her belt and has been involved in all 13 league matches to date, 11 as a starter and two as a substitute.

She is yet to get off the mark in terms of goals, but she did score against SD Eibar at Lezama in the 2020 Euskal Herria Kopa pre-season tournament.

Athletic Club Women manager Ángel Villacampa has played Valdezate as a both a centre-mid and centre-back, this way making the most of her versatility and strength.

Oihan Hernández has also played an important role up until now in the 20-21 campaign. The defender has 906 minutes of playing time so far, like Valdezate she has started 11 matches and come on as a sub in the other two.

Left-back Eunate has started eight matches and come off the bench in the other five, while the striker María Díaz has started five and been used as a substitute in eight.

Both of them have left their mark out on the pitch. Eunate has managed to provide five assists from the left flank, while María Díaz has hit the back of the net three times.

Lucía García also more than 1000 minutes

Athletic striker Lucía García has also passed the 1000-minute mark, with 1019 minutes of playing time spread out over her 12 appearances – 11 as a starter and one off the bench. What’s more, Lucía already has eight goals to her name so far this season, only five off her career best of 13.

Ainhoa Moraza is just ten minutes short of the 1000 mark with 990 minutes. The Donostia native’s only goal of the season up until now came in the match against Atlético de Madrid.
