Athletic draw UD Ibiza in Copa 20-21

Athletic Club will face UD Ibiza in the Copa 2020-21 Round of 32, the lions’ first fixture in this year’s edition of the competition.

The single-leg tie will take place on January 20 or 21 (date and kick-off time to be confirmed) on the Balearic island, tournament rules stating fixtures must be held in the lower-ranked side’s stadium.

The Balearic islanders currently lead Sub-group B of the Segunda División B’s Group 3, with twenty points from six wins, two draws and zero losses.

Athletic have never played at Can Misses before and this will be the first official match against UD Ibiza, who have knocked out SD Compostela and LaLiga Santander side RC Celta to make it this far.

In the last round, UD Ibiza stormed to a 5-2 victory over the Galicians.
