Athletic Club will play at least five LaLiga matches in December, two of them against Real Madrid
Athletic have a busy month of football ahead of them in December. The Rojiblancos kick off an intense month with the rescheduled match against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu (kick-off, 21:00 CET) on Wednesday, December 1.
The Lions will face Los Blancos again later on in the month in Bilbao on Wednesday 22 at 21:30 CET – a fixture which has been brought forward due to the Spanish Super Cup in January.
Between the double-header against Real Madrid, the Lions will visit Getafe at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez on Monday December 6 at 21:00 CET and host Sevilla at The Cathedral on Saturday 11 December at 21:00 CET, before facing Real Betis the following weekend – although the date and kick-off time for this last fixture is yet to be announced.
Furthermore, there’s a possibility Athletic could play six matches in December before the end of the year, depending on whether the derby against Osasuna at El Sadar is scheduled for December 31 or January 2, although in most cases these matches take place in January.
