Jon Morcillo loaned to Real Valladolid

Athletic Club winger Jon Morcillo has been loaned out to Real Valladolid until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old passed a medical and joined his new side on Sunday. Once the loan agreement comes to an end on June 30, 2022, Morcillo will return to Athletic, where he has a contract until June 30, 2023.

The left-winger made seven appearances for the Lions in the 2021/22 campaign. Last season, his first with the senior side, he was involved in 36 matches in total across LaLiga, the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup, while scoring two goals.

Morcillo joined Lezama from Cultural de Durango’s youth team in 2016/17, going on to play two seasons with Basconia and another two with Bilbao Athletic, where he scored 10 goals in 2019/20.
