World Down Syndrome Day at Athletic

Athletic Club supports World Down Syndrome Day (March 21st) and is helping to raise awareness and promote the rights people with Down syndrome have in society.

The aim is to promote the fact that with sufficient support, people with Down Syndrome can have autonomy, independence and freedom in term of making their own decisions.

Before Athletic vs Getafe kicked off on Friday night, Aitor Aspuru -an Athletic fan with Down Syndrome- delighted all at San Mamés by playing the txalaparta -a traditional Basque instrument- for the 37,367 people in attendance.
