Gorka Guruzeta returns to Athletic Club

Athletic Club have signed striker Gorka Guruzeta on a two-year deal, with an option to extend for a third season if certain targets are met.

The San Sebastian-born players arrives as a free agent after a great season in which he scored 13 goals for SD Amorebieta in LaLiga Smartbank.

Guruzeta, 25, made nine appearances as a Lion in the 2018/19 season, scoring a goal in the Copa against Sevilla FC. He arrived as a youngster from Antiguoko and scored 48 goals for Basconia and Bilbao Athletic, 31 of them coming for the latter.

The player will start working under Ernesto Valverde on Monday and will hold a press conference at Lezama in the near future.
