Iñigo Córdoba will not continue at Athletic Club

Iñigo Córdoba will not continue at Athletic Club after the Club decided not to trigger the option to extend his contract until 2025.

Having arrived at Lezama as a child, Iñigo Córdoba leaves Athletic Club after making 96 first-team appearances in four seasons. In that time he scored two goals, against Villarreal and Valladolid.

The winger has spent the last two seasons on loan, first at Deportivo Alavés (joining them in the 2021 winter transfer window) and then last season at Dutch side Go Ahead Eagles. He has one Spanish Super Cup to his name, being part of the side which triumphed in January 2021.

Athletic Club wishes Iñigo Córdoba all the best of luck in his future professional career, and at the same time is deeply grateful for the commitment and dedication he shown the Club throughout all these years.
