Valverde starts the training sessions at Lezama with 31 players in the absence of the internationals and Villalibre
Ernesto Valverde kicks off his second season in his third spell at Athletic with a double session at Lezama. He will do so with a group of 30 players, seven of them promoted from the reserve team, divided between medical examinations and field work. The afternoon training session will be open to the public from 18:00 CEST. The internationals involved in the last few games, Simón, Agirrezabala, Paredes and Sancet, as well as Villalibre, who finished late against Deportivo Alavés in the play-offs, will join the group later.
The goalkeepers Padilla and Gastesi, the defenders De Marcos, Lekue, Hugo Rincón, Petxarroman, Vivian, Yeray, Egiluz, Yuri, Imanol, Barandalla; midfielders Vesga, Dani García, Vencedor, Nolaskoain, Ruiz de Galarreta, Herrera, Beñat Prados, Unai Gómez, Junior Bita and Muniain; and forwards Iñaki Williams, Guruzeta, Raúl García, Adu Ares, Berenguer, Martón, Morcillo, Nico Serrano and Nico Williams.
