Víctor Moreno joins as Director of Sports Development and Loans

Technical secretary of Deportivo Alavés, he has extensive experience as a football director, a position he has held at clubs such as CD Tenerife, Albacete Balompié and CD Lugo

Víctor Moreno is the new Director of Football Development in professional football and youth academy loans at Lezama, a position held by Mikel González until he was promoted to the General Director of Football.

At 39 years of age, Victor has extensive experience in football management at clubs such as CD Tenerife, Albacete Balompié and CD Lugo. He also managed the international expansion department at Deportivo Alavés, where he has been technical secretary for the last two seasons.

Along with the management of Lezama, Moreno will participate in the definition of the Lines of Succession in the sporting structure, the preparation of the squads and, especially, he will identify the projection of our footballers, planning their best sporting development, including the selection of destination, coordination and control of the loan players to ensure their growth and value in them.

After six years at UB Conquense, his hometown team, where he worked as coach, youth director and technical secretary, Víctor Moreno joined Albacete Balompié in 2012 as first team analyst and became technical secretary and football director during the 2013/14 season until joining CD Lugo in that position in 2017.

It would be in the 2018/19 campaign when the man from Cuenca landed at Deportivo Alavés as head of a new international expansion project, directing the sports management of different clubs affiliated to Vitoria-based club. At the same time, he was also assistant to the sporting director.

In January 2019, CD Tenerife hired him to be sporting director and he subsequently held that position for the 2020/21 campaign at Marbella FC, before returning to Deportivo Alavés.
