Nico Serrano signs contract extension and goes on loan to PEC Zwolle
The forward will spend this season playing with the Dutch Eredivisie outfit
Athletic Club have triggered the clause in Nico Serrano's contract to keep him as a first-team player until June 2026.
In addition, Athletic Club and PEC Zwolle have reached an agreement for the attacker to join the recently promoted Eredivise side on loan for the 2023/24 campaign.
Serrano, 20, made his senior debut for Athletic at the age of 18, making 17 official appearances and scoring one goal since then. He spent last season with CD Mirandés in the Segunda División. This pre-season he took part in the the friendlies against Chivas and Necaxa.
