Both our players and supporters were eager to celebrate this important day in the best way possible. LaLiga action returned to San Mames after the international break and it did so with a hard-fought clash.
Athletic and Cádiz put on a great show for the current San Mames' 10th anniversary, but it was Los Leones who took home the prized three points.
It took a while to find the breakthrough, but once Athletic got that first goal through Gorka Guruzeta, they were unstoppable. Asier Villalibre doubled our lead two minutes later before Iñaki Williams put the cherry on top in the 90th minute.
