Athletic have agreed a deal with Braga for the forward, who will join Los Leones next season on a five-year contract
Athletic Club have signed forward Álvaro Djaló from Sporting Clube de Braga on a five-year contract which will run until 30 June 2029. His deal includes a fixed salary structure and objective-based bonuses.
Djaló, 24, moved to Bizkaia as a three-month-old and played for local sides such as UD San Miguel de Basauri and SD Begoña.
So far this season, he has scored 14 goals (five of them in the Champions League and one in the Europa League). Djaló has progressed enormously since joining the Portuguese club's youth system from SD Begoña's under-18s in 2017.
Djaló can play in all positions up front, standing out for his speed and ability to strike the ball well, the latter of which makes him deadly from set-pieces.
