Terzić: "We’re close to turning draws into wins"
This is what the gaffer said to the press before Wednesday's rescheduled clash at the Ciutat de Valencia (20:00 CEST)
Edin Terzić stressed that there are “no easy games” in LaLiga as Athletic Club get ready to face Levante UD in their rescheduled LaLiga Matchday 6 clash in Valencia.
With the Lions having drawn their last three league fixtures, Edin is optimistic his players can start to turn those results into wins.
“Drawing means we’re close to winning and now we’re focusing on turning these draws into wins,” the Athletic boss said at his pre-match conference.
“I’m happy to keep clean sheets, it's a good foundation, but we want to create more danger. One part is to protect our own goal but we want to create more danger and be winning games.”

Asked about Gorka Guruzeta’s potentially long-term injury, Edin reiterated that the entire team will need to adapt to the striker’s absence.
He continued: “We’re sad and we feel for Guruzeta, but he’s optimistic and positive. Our job now is to support him and make sure he’s joining a successful team when he's ready to come back.
“We know about Guru’s qualities and what we’re going to miss. Now we need to find someone to take this responsibility but as a team we also need to adapt.
“We have to find the best way to bring all our players’ strengths and talent in to every game.”
As for Wednesday’s opponents, the gaffer sees some “clear patterns” in Levante's play, saying “they’re comfortable pressing high to stress the opposition goalkeeper”.
He added: “They use their midfielders to be flexible and if you don’t press the centre-backs they’ll play good long passes into the final third. I’m expecting a tough away match.”
