A round-up of all the action from Athletic Club’s 0-0 draw with Atlético Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano on Saturday afternoon.

The Lions extended their unbeaten run in LaLiga Santander to five games and have now gone three consecutive matches without conceding a goal in the competition.

It was an extremely tight affair where chances were few and far between, but Athletic did have a couple of opportunities to ensure they left Madrid with all three points.

In the 48th minute, a clever pass by Raúl García let strike partner Iñaki Williams crash through Atlético’s defence, but Williams couldn’t hit the target when through on goal.

Asier Villalibre could have made it 0-1 at the death. An exchange between Nico Williams and Alex Berenguer gave the Buffalo some space in the box, however Villalibre’s shot went narrowly over the bar.
