Several players back in training ahead of the Copa
Oier Zarraga, Unai Nuñez, Iñigo Lekue, Raúl García and Asier Villalibre are back with the group after recovering from COVID-19
The five Athletic players who tested positive for COVID-19 last week are now back in training. The news could not have come at a better time, with the Lions set to kick off their Copa 21/22 campaign against Atlético Mancha Real on Thursday night.
Oier Zarraga, Unai Nuñez, Iñigo Lekue, Raúl García and Asier Villalibre, the latter still recovering from a hamstring issue, have returned to Lezama after testing negative for coronavirus.
What’s more, head coach Marcelino García Toral is back after testing negative and will lead the side in the Copa clash.
