Valverde: "It was a complete performance"
The gaffer congratulated the team and admitted they are making good progress
Athletic Club boss Ernesto Valverde praised the Lions for quickly "getting back to winning ways" and for doing so in style with a 3-0 win over UD Almería at San Mames.
Gorka Guruzeta put Los Rojiblancos ahead early on, before Dani Garcia - with his first ever Athletic goal after six seasons at the club - and Oihan Sancet put the game to bed in a sizzling second-half display.
"The plan you have in your head is for everything to work out well, to dominate and score goals," Valverde said post-match.
"That's what we did, although it's true we could have settled the match much quicker. We wanted to get back to winning ways and it was a complete performance. We're doing well."
