Luis de la Fuente has called up the Athletic players for this summer's World Cup
Spanish national team head coach Luis de la Fuente has named Unai Simón, Aymeric Laporte and Nico Williams in his final 26-player squad for the 2026 World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
The Athletic players will join the training camp at Las Rozas on Saturday 30 May. They will then play two warm-up matches, facing Iraq on Thursday 3 June and then Peru early on Tuesday 9 June at 04:00 CEST.
Spain's first match of the tournament sees them take on Cape Verde in Atlanta on Monday 15 June.
